36 Water Street
Enter the restaurant via the cobblestone side street and choose a seat
inside, on the shady, covered patio
or out on the harbour-view deck. On
sunny days, these outdoor tables are
one of Wahoo’s most prized features.
Both kids and adults alike love the brilliant blue water that teems with fish.
A salty sea breeze and a comfortable, bustling atmosphere complement
Wahoo’s diverse menu of burgers,
pasta, steaks and, from September
through March, Bermuda lobsters.
Time and again though, it’s the Rock-
fish “Picasso”, plated with a mosaic of
brightly coloured fruits and ginger that
steals the show. True to its namesake,
the restaurant offers an entire page
of Wahoo dishes, from their nuggets -
golden, bite-sized morsels alongside
fries and a garden salad - to their
tacos, served Baja-style with slaw, pico
de gallo and a generous dollop of lime
sour cream. Chef Alfred Konrad also
arranges an irresistible offering of daily
specials - but don’t worry - the fish
chowder, an undisputed local favourite,
Wahoo’s is not only a diverse,
family-friendly restaurant, but also buys
locally, supporting Bermudian farmers
and fishermen whenever possible.
Warm summer evenings are also the
perfect time for a quiet, candlelit din-
ner and one of Wahoo’s hand-crafted
cocktails. Aside from their traditional
Bermuda Rum Swizzle (a classic!), best
sellers include the tropical Yellow Bird
and the people’s choice award-winning
Pink Prickly Pear Martini.
Be sure to call in a reservation as prime
ocean view tables are quick to fill up,
especially on holidays and weekends.
